Irish repertory theatre

Irish Repertory Theatre, founded by Ciarán O’Reilly and Charlotte Moore in 1988, opened with Sean O’Casey’s The Plough and the Stars. The only year-round North American theatre dedicated to Irish and Irish-American works, it has received awards, including the 2007 Jujamcyn Theatres Award, a 1992 Drama Desk Award, the Lucille Lortel Award in 2005, and a 2013 Outer Critics Circle Special Achievement Award. Irish Repertory Theatre proudly showcases Irish theatre, from masters to emerging writers, in the heart of New York’s Off-Broadway community.

The Dead, 1904

Adapted from James Joyce’s immortal story by Paul Muldoon and Jean Hanff Korelitz and produced by Dot Dot Productions, Kathleen Begala and Laurie Eustis for Irish Repertory Theatre, THE DEAD, 1904 ran for a total of 150 performances over three holiday seasons in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Staged as an immersive theater event at the American Irish Historical Society with a full meal interpreted from the novella by Great Performances, the production quickly became a beloved feature of New York City’s holiday season.

PRIVATE PERFORMANCES OF THE DEAD, 1904

As in the past, private performances of THE DEAD, 1904 will be an exciting option for the 2024 run of the show, and may be purchased via tax deductible donation to Irish Repertory Theatre. At a private performance, the entire house is reserved by an individual, association or company, and all  may opt to purchase an entire performance of the play for their friends and colleagues, inclusive of all food, drink and a very special holiday party in 1904 Dublin. Private performance attendees may enjoy post-performance receptions with the cast, and gatherings with the play’s adaptors, director, or scholars of James Joyce’s works, as desired. A truly magical private holiday event. For more information, contact Nina K. Matza of Dot Dot Productions.

SLAINTE Irish WHISKEY

Sláinte Irish Whiskey is more than just a spirit; it's a toast to camaraderie, inclusivity, and shared aspirations. The name Sláinte [SLAHN-CHA], rooted in the Irish tradition, translates to 'good health' in English'. This expression, commonly raised as a cheer, symbolizes more than just a drink – it represents coming together to honor life's moments, milestones, and memories, toasting to the past, present, and future.

The Artistry of Whiskey Making: A Craft of Excellence

Sláinte Irish Whiskey, crafted with precision at the Great Northern Distillery, combines Irish grain and single malt in a triple-barreled, triple-distilled process, aged in bourbon casks to achieve a rich golden warmth, earning it global acclaim and awards. Unique to Sláinte, the Smooth Blend, sourced from French farms and combining single grain with single malt, is aged in American bourbon and Sherry casks, resulting in a harmonious blend of peppery warmth, vanilla, and warm spice, offering a balanced and delightful taste experience in each sip.

Beyond the Bottle: A Commitment to Humanity

In the spirit of 'Sláinte', we extend our goodwill beyond the realms of whiskey. A portion of every sale is dedicated to global humanitarian efforts, embodying our commitment to positivity, respect, equity, and trust. This gesture is our way of uplifting humanity, mirroring the very essence of our brand's name and philosophy.

Introducing Our Brand Ambassador: Liev Schreiber, an American actor, director, screenwriter, producer, and narrator, proudly serves as a brand ambassador and shareholder of Sláinte Irish Whiskey. His involvement is pivotal in establishing Sláinte as a premium Irish Whiskey Brand in North America. With importation and distribution starting in 2022, Liev's creative talent and enthusiasm as a brand ambassador are set to elevate Sláinte's presence in the whiskey market.
